The Nest, located in Austin, Texas, is founded on one main principle, to make great records. We are here to provide the tools and a comfortable environment to help pinpoint the exact ideas that you, as the artist, producer and/or engineer, are attempting to express. As musicians ourselves, we understand the effect something small has on the overall canvas.

We have found that when searching for that certain sound, nothing can replace or emulate the soul of a true instrument. With this in mind we have many classic instruments and gear available to get not just a sound but "the" sound.

At the Nest we offer the ability to fuse state of the art modern technology (Pro Tools HD3) with classic gear, or for that more authentic vintage sound go straight to our 24 track 2" Studer Mark III. We understand that not everyone has a major label budget; our set up allows us to provide our clients with great sounds at an affordable price.
