Casa Brasil Coffee

As the business has grown, Casa Brasil has quickly developed a reputation for its unique brand that redefines Brazilian Coffee. Casa Brasil has strayed from the norm of selling standard Santos blends and instead, goes straight to farmers dedicated to excellence. Contrary to popular belief, Santos is not a growing region but rather the port from which most Brazilian coffee is shipped. More often than not, lower-grade coffee gets mixed into these generic "Santos" blends and greatly diminish the overall coffee quality.

By going to the source, Casa Brasil rewards the farmers by maintaining the integrity of their coffee all the way to your cup.

Joel Shuler

My interest in Brazilian Coffee began in my early teens when I was accepted into the youth program of Brazil's legendary Gremio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, home of many soccer greats including Ronaldinho. While in Brazil I developed a passion for Brazil and Brazilian Coffee.

Through Casa Brazil, I have made it my mission to share this passion with you.

Mission

Identifying great coffee on the tree and ensuring its quality all the way to the cup. That is how committed we are to the coffee we serve.

Brazil produces over 1/3 of the world’s coffee and with over 5.6 billion pounds of coffee produced annually, sometimes the quality gets lost in the immense quantity.

Personal relationships with growers committed to excellence.

Although nearly every coffee farm has the ability to produce great coffee, all too often the great beans get mixed with the mediocre, lessening the drinking experience. By cultivating personal relationships with growers committed to excellence and by providing a direct outlet for their finest crops, we can ensure that the best coffee is separated and properly handled.

Quality Control at Casa Brasil

We know first-hand the amount of work that goes into producing excellent coffee and for this reason we have developed a quality control system that assures each cup will be brewed to its potential. We are not just selling you any cup of coffee; we are selling you our cup of coffee.

Food

We bring this same thinking to our food offerings.

Homemade
most of our food is made either here at Casa Brasil or by Brazilians living in the Austin area.
Unique
from our Mortadela and Heart of Palm “Mordito” Panini to our “Pao de Queijo” cheese puffs to our Passion Fruit Pie, Casa Brasil offers you delicious and unique food items.
Natural
Brazilian food is by nature less processed with a much greater respect for the natural flavors of the food. We try to adhere to this, blending rather than manipulating ingredients.
Fresh
our “Pao de Queijo” cheese puffs are baked several times daily. Meats are sliced to order, and many of the spices are even picked from our own garden literally seconds before they go into your salad or sandwich.
Delicious
above all, it just tastes great!
